The following apps on the list are free, so if they are not what you expected, you only have to uninstall them. The apps have various options that will give your animated text various features such as a movie intro typestyle.

1. Animated Text

Animated Text is on the top of the list. It’s an easy-to-use app with good animation options. When you first open the app, a text is added for you to test the app with. Tap on it and hit the Erase button to add your own text and select the checkmark.

If you want to add a picture from your device’s gallery, tap on the Image icon on the left of the trash icon. Crop your image, and the text you added before will be added to the picture. To choose the kind of text animation you want, you can choose from options such as Joy, Mask, Focus, and more. You don’t have to select the animation to get a preview of it since the app shows you what it does even before you tap on it. You can choose to have your animation be in either square or landscape mode. The size for GIFs is only at 512p and for videos 720p or 1080p. The As with different color are the filters you can add to your animation. At the top you can share what you’ve made, or you can tap on the drop-down and choose to save it as a GIF or video.

2. Hype Text

If you don’t feel like using any personal pics for your text animations, Hype Text has some good integrated options. You can choose from categories such as Popular, Gradient, Nature, and Texture. Despite the design you choose, it looks like you’re stuck with the watermark unless you upgrade to Pro.

The app offers text animations such as Jump, Filled, Film, Blink, Banner, Dot, and more. The text will be small, but you can make it more significant with the pinch and zoom gesture. If you want to change the speed of the text animation, tap on the speedometer icon, and use the slider to either speed things up or slow them down. To change the color of the font, tap on the bucket with the drop. There aren’t any options with a design, but the plain-colors options are numerous. If you add an effect and want to go back to add another, don’t tap on the back button. You’ll get a message letting you know that what you’ve created has not been saved. What you can do instead is tap where it says Post 1:1 various times until the option re-appears at the bottom of your display. Hopefully the app will work with the back button on future updates.

3. Text Animation Maker

Unlike the other apps, Text Animation Maker shows you the slider as soon as you open the app. With those sliders you can change things such as font size, time, color, and brightness. All the features in the app that have a lock on them are locked unless you pay $0.99. The price is the same for all features.

By pressing the double As you can change the style of the text animation, but if you want to use the font editor, that will require an in-app purchase. When you’re done, tap on the download option, and the app gives you an option to save it as a GIF or MP4.

Conclusion

Thanks to these apps, you can send a message with style. All the apps are free, so you don’t have to deal with the refund process later if it’s not what you’re looking for. Which app do you think you’re going to try first? Let us know in the comments section.
