It can be very annoying for many having to save an image to their computer and then upload it to the cloud. Wouldn’t it be great to have a tool that would allow you to upload your files to any of the cloud storage services? But not just be able to choose from one service but various services? With Ballloon, it’s possible. You can either use its Chrome extension or web app.
Save Your Files to Various Cloud Storage Services
Let’s say that you have decided to upload a file through the Chrome extension. After clicking on the Ballloon icon, a window will appear asking you to sign in with your Google account. After signing in you will see various circles. The first circle only shows you a picture of a van Gogh, while the second circle allows you to connect to your cloud service account. You can connect accounts from services such as DropBox, SkyDrive, Box, Copy and SugarSync. Ballloon will ask you for permission to access your account so you can quickly add your files to the cloud service of your choice. In the third circle you can see all the ballloons you have sent just in case you weren’t sure you sent your friend that important file.
Other than the uploading service, Ballloon is also integrated with your surfing habit. When reading an article you can hover your mouse over any image to hace Ballloon give you cloud service options you can upload your content to. When you have the cursor over the picture you will only be able to see the icons for Google Drive, DropBox and SkyDrive, but if you click on the three horizontal dots, you can see the rest of the options.
You can also upload links. All you have to do is right-click on the link you want to upload, and at the very bottom you will see an option that says “Save Link to…” Once you select that option the cloud service options will appear, and you just have to choose the one you want for the link will be saved.
How to Only See the Icons of the Cloud Services You Use
Let’s say you only use Google Drive and DropBox; there is no point in having the other options appear since you don’t have accounts there. By going to the second circle and clicking on “Cloud Settings” you can make the extension only show you the icons of the services you use. After clicking on cloud settings, the extension is going to take you to the Ballloon web app where you can make the necessary changes. You can also decide where you want the content to go when you upload, and you can do this by clicking on “Change” next to “Destination Folder.”
After clicking “Change,” Ballloon will show you the folders where you can save the content.
As you can see, Ballloon is a very useful tool that makes the task of storing content a lot easier, and this is a tool that I will continue using for a very long time.
Conclusion
We are constantly saving content to the cloud, and anything that makes that process easier is always welcome. How do you save your content to the Web? Let us know in the comments.
